Dr. Bass is a nationally recognized innovator and authority on advanced technologies in aesthetic plastic surgery. He has written and lectured extensively over the past 25 years on his research in technology development and advanced surgical techniques including laser procedures. He has presented his research results and aesthetic surgery techniques before the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Giants in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium sponsored by Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. He has served on the Device and Technique Assessment Committee of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, the Nonsurgical Techniques Committee of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Board of Directors of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. He directed the course "Emerging Technologies in Plastic Surgery" at NYU to train surgeons in the latest advances for 12 years. He is the plastic surgery director of the symposium “Summit in Aesthetic Medicine” which serves as a multidisciplinary forum for researchers, clinicians and industry to explore solutions to both surgical and non-surgical problems.

Dr. Bass spent more than 15 years as Director of the Minimally Invasive Plastic Surgery Program at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, NYU Medical Center where he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
