Dr. Karen L. Beasley is a board certified dermatologist with advanced training in cosmetic dermatology. After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Medicine where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Pennsylvania State University, Hershey School of Medicine.  She then completed three years of specialized dermatology training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  Dr. Beasley maintains her teaching credentials as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.  

Dr. Beasley is one of the most experienced dermatologic surgeons in non- surgical cosmetic procedures; specializing in skin rejuvenation through lasers, injectable fillers / neuromodulators, and body sculpting and tightening devices.  She is actively involved in clinical research trials at the practice, participating in over 50 clinical studies.  She is an avid writer, having published dozens of journal articles and abstracts; numerous cosmetic dermatology textbook chapters and the authoritative medical textbook on leg vein treatment. Dr. Beasley is an active member of numerous dermatology societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. 
 

Known for her aesthetic eye, Dr. Beasley attracts patients seeking a highly skilled physician who practices with both precision and artistry to address their cosmetic dermatology needs. With over 40 lasers and light based devices available to her at Maryland Laser, Skin and Vein, she is able to develop a customized treatment plan for each patient. She provides all patients with compassionate care, and places an emphasis on delivering natural looking results.
